When Walter Bagehot famously said “Royalty is a Government in which the attention of the nation is concentrated on one person doing interesting actions,” he overlooked the attraction of other members of the Royal Family. The interest in royalty continues unabated.
SBS will be broadcasting “The Queen’s Mother in Law” the almost unknown story Princess Alice, the mother of Prince Philip is detailed in this documentary which The Sun Herald’s critic Melinda Houston described as “fabulous…everything about a truly remarkable woman.
