Australia Post has done it again, we said here on 16 April. This was about its announcement concerning the 2009 birthday stamp issue which features the Trooping of the Colour parade which marks the Queen's official birthday each year. The stamps can be purchased online now; see the examples below. Now Australia Post has mounted a wonderful online exhibition, “ The depiction of Queen Elizabeth II on Australian stamps”. It is well worth a visit. Do read the introduction and glance through the contents. The exhibition stops in 1963. A second part will soon be posted.
Once again, ACM strongly commends Australia Post for its continued attention to our oldest institution, the Australian Crown.
