The television managers have taken notice. Programmes about royalty rate. And they are not expensive to buy. We don't know about republican programmes – we haven't noticed any. On Monday, 20 August,2007, Channel 9 will rebroadcast Part 2 of the programme “The Queen’s Castle." One of our readers suggests we ask Channel 9 to broadcast Trooping the Colour. After all German audiences had more than one opportunity to see this, and they live in a republic. And on Thursday at 830PM , the ABC will screen a programme with a tendentious title, Prince Charles and Prince William: Royal Rivals or Father and Son? The ABC's programme notes suggests that they have stayed bonded through tragedy and upheaval. We have a feeling we have seen it. But why did Ian Cuthbertson, who put together the TV programme notes for The Weekend Australian's Review [18-19 August 2007, page 36 have to add this grauitous comment: " My sick bag, s'il vous plait"? But will he watch?
