In the presence of Her Excellency, Ms Penelope Wensley AC, Governor of Queensland, a Diamond Jubilee commemorative service will be held at St John's Anglican Cathedral in Brisbane at 9:30 AM on Sunday, 20 May 2012. This is the last great Gothic cathedral to be built in Australia and probably the world.
The President of the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship in Queensland, Mr Barry J Dinneen, advises that while the Victoria League is coordinating the service, this is not a Victoria League event but is The Diamond Jubilee Church Service.
