Merry Christmas and a Happy and Royal New Year

All of us at the ACM national office wish you, and those dear to you, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Royal New Year.  We are now in our new office on the sixth floor of International House, 104 Bathurst Street, Sydney.  This is not far from Hyde Park, the Great Synagogue, the Archibald Fountain and then St. Mary’s Cathedral on the one side with St. Andrew’s Cathedral, the old Masonic Club, City Tattersall’s Club ( where we held the 2006 National Conference) the Town Hall and down to Darling Harbour on the other. It is about a 10 to 15 minutes walk to Parliament House, the Public Library and a little more to the Union and Australian Clubs and the Kent Street Meeting Rooms, with Tattersalls, the Queen’s and the Women’s Clubs nearby. It is very close to the Town Hall underground station, and thus only a few stations to Kingsford Smith Airport.  Our phone, fax, e-mail and GPO box number remain the same. This was the second move this year, but at least this was one we had sufficient time to plan. Once again, our band of volunteers made it all possible, turning up from 5.30 am on a Saturday to help with the move.

Our new premises are modest, but well suited to our needs. We find a city location at the centre of the transport network has many advantages.  Most importantly it allows us to accommodate our wonderful volunteers from across the city and beyond.  Their indispensable work means that we can send out our communications to all of our supporters across the nation.
