Second Royal Marriage to a Canadian


Autumn Phillips, the wife of Queen's eldest grandson, and son of the Princess Royal, Peter Phillips has just given birth to a baby girl, thus making The Queen a great grandmother.

Autumn an dPeter Phillips were married in St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on Saturday, 17 May, 2008

In this clip from the leading Canadian broadcaster, CTV, Rafal Heydel-Mankoo explains this was not the first marriage between a Canadian and a member of the Royal Family.  In fact there are now both Canadian and New Zealanders in  our Royal Family, aprt of course from The Queen.

Mr. Rafal Heydel-Mankoo, the Anglo-Canadian editor of Burke's Peerage and Gentry is an expert in such matters.
