A Word from the Government of Canada

The 2010 Royal Tour of Canada marks a pivotal moment in commemorating Her Majesty’s service and dedication to Canada for nearly six decades.

It is an honour for Canada to welcome Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh to celebrate this historical milestone.

This is a golden opportunity for all Canadians to learn more about our constitutional monarchy, which is an integral part of our history, traditions, and institutions.

People of all ages are invited to take part in the celebrations that pay tribute to our rich past, while helping build an even more promising future.

As Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, I invite all Canadians to make the most of the activities taking place as part of the Royal Tour and Canada Day.

I would also like to thank everyone who helped make this celebration a success.

The Honourable James Moore
