Australian Platinum Jubilee Medal for selfless service and other celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

To the Prime Minister, Government & Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia

What better way to celebrate the selfless service of our Queen than by awarding an AUSTRALIAN PLATINUM JUBILEE MEDAL FOR SELFLESS SERVICE.

There are so many Australians who have given (too often unrecognised) service in our defence, in fighting bushfires, floods and the pandemic, in the hospitals, in lifesaving, in our protection and in so many other ways across the nation and beyond.

Next year, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II will have been on the throne for a record 70 years. It will be the 67th year from her first momentous visit to Australia, the 69th since she swore her Coronation Oath and the 75th since she made this solemn promise on her 21st birthday:

“I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be dedicated to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.”

Our Queen has, with the loving and loyal support of her recently departed consort Prince Philip, selflessly and without financial reward, faithfully kept these promises.

What better way to recognise this than by an AUSTRALIAN PLATINUM JUBILEE MEDAL FOR SELFLESS SERVICE.

Australians for Constitutional Monarchy, who led the case in 1999 to keep the Australian Constitution as it was conceived, is writing to the Prime Minister to propose he appoint a committee of persons of the calibre of the 26th Governor-General of the Commonwealth, General Sir Peter Cosgrove AK, CVO, MC, the 25th Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. John Winston Howard OM AC SSI, the 28th Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Tony Abbott AC, the Hon. Kim Christian Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia, the Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG, former Justice of the High Court and Her Majesty’s Australian coach builder Mr William James Frecklington OAM, MVO – as well as prominent and loyal media commentators, such as Alan Jones AO, Rowan Dean and Michael McLaren and some Young Ambassadors for our Constitution – to advise on the process of designing and awarding the medal.

Please sign our Petition to celebrate the first Platinum Jubilee of any monarch in our Commonwealth and to honour and recognise the selfless service of so many Australians by the awarding of an AUSTRALIAN PLATINUM JUBILEE MEDAL FOR SELFLESS SERVICE.
