Put the Perjury Bill to the people

The Reverend Dr Gordon Moyes has put the NSW republican politicians on the spot over the bill to remove the Oath of Allegiance which they have all sworn or affirmed. He has asked the Parliamentary Counsel to prepare a Bill for a referendum as envisaged under constitutional legislation in New South Wales. Will the republican politicians, who say they want to swear allegiance to the people, let the people actually decide on this?

After all they have administered the state so well that people will surely believe them and approve their Perjury Bill? And how generous they are. They have apparently even given a polygamous man and his two wives three Housing Commission homes! That is sensitivity to cultural difference.

The Reverend Dr. Moyes is to be congratulated. He is clearly a man of principle.
