In this interview, Reg Watson, an accomplished Tasmanian writer and historian, talks about the constitutional monarchy, ACM, and Risdon Cove, an Australian historic site that has been mismanaged.
Mr. Watson is ACM Convenor for the State of Tasmania. ACM conducted a vigorous campaign in the state during the 1999 referendum campaign. As with all states and the ACT, ACM opened a Tasmanian campaign office with a full time director. ACM was the only organisation campaigning for the No case which did this.
The results were superb. The No case prevailed in all seats but one. Almost 60% of Tasmanian electors said no.
